Work Environment

The PTA role is based within a state-of-the-art hospital facility in New York, NY, where you will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary healthcare team. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to respond effectively to the needs of our patients and the demands of clinic operations. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in executing and adapting individualized treatment plans that align with patients' rehabilitation goals; emphasizing mobility enhancement and strength improvement.
• Guide patients through exercises, stretches, and therapeutic activities aimed at optimizing physical function and alleviating pain.
• Educate patients on safe and effective body mechanics, exercise regimens, and home programs that promote recovery and prevent re-injury.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold applications, ensuring proper application under the supervision of Physical Therapists.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking essential metrics such as range of motion, strength development, and functional improvements.
• Prepare and organize treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are readily available to support therapy sessions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational and Speech-Language Therapists, to provide cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Empower patients emotionally, offering encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation journey to foster a positive and motivating environment.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards at all times, maintaining patient confidentiality and respect for their rights and privacy.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
