Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students’ communication growth across a diverse educational setting in North Carolina. We’re seeking four dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to collaborate with schools in the vibrant East and Southern areas of Davidson County. This role begins August 12, 2026, and runs through June 11, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35–37.5 hours per week during the traditional school year.

You’ll play a key role in helping students reach their full potential. With flexible caseload preferences and strong district support, this opportunity is ideal for professionals eager to share their expertise and make lasting improvements in students’ lives. The district welcomes both experienced SLPs (including Clinical Fellows) and provides in-house supervision; however, SLPA applicants cannot be accepted at this time.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current North Carolina SLP license (CCC preferred, CFY welcome)
• School-based experience highly valued
• Background working with students with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with caseloads of up to 35 students
• Capable of working on-site per school and district requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapy to students on your caseload, adapting interventions as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district policies
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning
