Dietary Aide

Facility: Sun Harbor Position: Dietary Aide Location: Port Charlotte, FL Job Type: Part-Time Shifts Available: Days, Evenings, Weekends Pay Rate: $15 per hour Job Summary Sun Harbor is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our Food Services team. This role is essential in supporting resident nutrition and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and committed to providing excellent service in a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Report to work at assigned time, in proper uniform, and ready for duty Handle food, supplies, and equipment in compliance with sanitation policies and procedures Follow all safety regulations when operating dietary equipment Deliver food carts, meal trays, and supplies to resident rooms and dining areas Serve meals in dining rooms in a courteous and professional manner Prepare and distribute snacks as directed Assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties per facility policies Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of food service areas Report discrepancies or concerns to the department supervisor Provide residents and families with high-quality service in a caring and compassionate environment Perform related duties as assigned Rotate tasks as needed based on daily operational needs, as directed by the Food Services Director Candidate Requirements Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to make independent decisions when appropriate Strong attention to sanitation, safety, and detail Ability to properly care for supplies, equipment, and work areas Willingness to learn and incorporate new methods and best practices in food service Preferred Qualifications Prior nursing home or long-term care experience preferred Strong communication skills Flexibility and reliability Why Join Sun Harbor?
