Job descriptionJob descriptionThe parts assistant will be responsible for overseeing the functions of a heavy equipment rental and repair shop.Parts Assistant Responsibilities:Answering incoming phone calls for partsCalling or emailing to order parts, repairs, or services from established vendors.Meet with established vendors/build relationships with new vendors as needed.Enter purchase orders into Microsoft Dynamics NAV and post upon receipt of goods.Maintain parts room and inventory, to include stocking of parts when received.Allocate parts from inventory when used for equipment repairs or customer sales.Boxing/packaging outgoing parts shipments and handling associated logistics.Other job duties as needed.Working Conditions:In an industrial shop and associated parts room.PPE will be provided, but employee will be in the vicinity of standard industrial hazards: welding, grinding, mechanic work on diesel motors, hydraulic fluid, pressure washing/degreasing, hammering, etc.Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials such as solvents, adhesives, paints, and other chemicals.Physical Demands:Be able to lift/push/pull 85 lbs. without assistance, and up to 156 lbs. with assistance.Be able to sit, lift, bend, and crouch.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Skills and Requirements:Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred, but not required.Experience with Forklifts and/or Overhead Cranes preferred, but not required.Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and employees.Reliable transportation to and from work, Mon-Fri 7AM to 4PM.Be able to work overtime as required.Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Be able to change work task consistently.Must be able to pass a background check.Must be able to work in internal/external environments that may be in harsh weather conditions.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr American Piledriving Equipment Inc
