Medical Malpractice Attorney

Job Description Medical Malpractice Attorney Slater & Zurz, LLP is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented medical malpractice attorney to join the firm. The ideal candidate should have experience handling a large, active docket of both pre-litigation and litigation medical malpractice files. The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to hospital, physician and geriatric cases. Experience taking depositions of medical professionals is a must. First chair trial experience is a plus. Responsibilities Manage and work up assigned cases, including pre-suit claim investigation, settlement negotiations, lien resolution, preparing pleadings, motion practice, research and writing, discovery, attendance at court conferences and hearings, litigating cases to verdict, etc. Work with and support teams within the firm. Maintain communication and positive relationships with clients. Supervise support staff. Qualifications Licensed to practice in Ohio. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in medical malpractice. Excellent research, writing, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with others and contribute to a positive work environment to advance firm goals.
