Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial electrical projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize software tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam to streamline the estimating process. Identify potential risks and opportunities within project scopes and provide recommendations to mitigate risks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs. Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with project requirements. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a focus on industrial projects. Proficiency in Accubid and Bluebeam software. Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to industrial applications. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Relevant certifications in electrical estimating or project management are a plus. Day-to-Day Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary project information. Use Accubid and Bluebeam to create detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns. Attend project meetings to discuss estimates and provide insights on cost-related matters. Monitor and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions. Provide support during the bidding process, including responding to client inquiries and clarifications. Continuously refine estimating processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
