Technical Operations Analyst, Prime Fianance - Asset Services, Corporate Actions Position Type: 12-month contract (potential for extensions, and potential for conversion to permanent employment) Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid Extension/Conversion: Potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment Role Overview Our Capital Markets client is building a Technical Operations team to provide hands-on support across its Prime Finance business, including Prime Brokerage, Swaps, and Securities Lending. The business supports equities, options, fixed income, and OTC products. This position will focus on the platforms and workflows supporting Asset Services, Corporate Actions, and Tax. The analyst will provide production and functional support, troubleshoot complex processing issues, deliver system enhancements, and help maintain the stability of critical post-trade platforms. The role works closely with Product, Client Services, Operations, Tax, and Technology teams. Key Responsibilities Support the platforms and workflows used by Asset Services, Corporate Actions, and Tax teams. Monitor platform operations, exception processing, batch activity, and system dependencies across global teams and vendors. Provide Level 2/3 production and functional support within a time-sensitive environment governed by service-level expectations. Investigate and resolve production issues affecting Corporate Actions, entitlements, income processing, tax treatment, reconciliations, and downstream reporting. Use SQL and Python to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, automate processes, and develop support tooling. Diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and clearly document findings, remediation steps, and preventative actions. Translate business and operational requirements into technical specifications and practical solutions. Develop, test, and implement system enhancements, defect fixes, integrations, and process improvements. Support data reconciliation across the trade and asset-servicing lifecycle, including upstream and downstream systems. Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements, testing, release readiness, deployment, and post-release support. Follow release-management, version-control, risk, audit, and production-support standards. Collaborate across front-, middle-, and back-office teams, as well as external vendors and technical partners. Required Qualifications At least five years of experience in technical analysis, platform support, application support, or development within Global Markets or institutional Capital Markets. Strong domain knowledge of Asset Servicing and the Corporate Actions lifecycle, including mandatory and voluntary events, elections, entitlements, and income processing. Experience supporting Prime Finance, Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, custody, or another institutional post-trade environment. Advanced SQL skills for querying, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and data analysis. Hands-on Python experience for scripting, automation, analysis, or support tooling. Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, post-trade processing, and upstream/downstream system dependencies. Experience working in a production-support environment with tight deadlines and service-level expectations. Experience gathering requirements and supporting testing, releases, and system enhancements. Working knowledge of relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server or PL/SQL, and experience working with stored procedures. Familiarity with APIs and API documentation tools such as Swagger or API Blueprint. Familiarity with Agile delivery, Git, and collaborative development workflows. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Asset Services or Corporate Actions platforms within Prime Finance, Prime Brokerage, custody, or institutional trading. Knowledge of Tax Services, withholding, global custody models, or cross-border asset-servicing implications. Experience with platforms such as Broadridge, GLOSS, Global One, SwapOne, S&P IMActions, or Geneva.
