Position Summary
The Operator II is responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment, ensuring product quality, maintaining production efficiency, and following all safety and operational procedures. This role requires intermediate-level machine operation skills, troubleshooting abilities, and teamwork in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production/manufacturing equipment.
- Perform equipment setup, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting.
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Follow work instructions, SOPs, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Identify process issues and communicate them to supervisors or maintenance teams.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Train or assist new operators when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Experience in electronics, assembly, or production environments is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer/data entry skills may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as required.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts/components.
- Ability to work overtime or shifts when needed.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production floor environment.
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and production materials.
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required.
