Travel RN – Med Surg | St. Louis, MO

Location: Mercy Hospital South – St. Louis, MO
Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
Shift: 4x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 48 Hours/Week
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP

 

Pay & Schedule

• Night shift assignment
• Every other weekend as required
• No call requirements
• 13-week contract with extension potential

Requirements

• Active RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Med Surg experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS (AHA preferred)

Unit Details

• Medical-Surgical Unit
• Current census: 15 beds (expansion underway)
• Patient ratios:
  • Days: 1:5–6
  • Nights: 1:6–7
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Nova Glucose Meters, and SCD Machines

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Care for patients with medical, surgical, and post-trauma conditions
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards

• Comfortable floating to other units based on staffing needs
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
