Welder Helper

Duties and responsibilities

- Assist in selecting appropriate equipment for the job or project
- Assist in securing parts into position for welding
- Assist in the preparation of materials for welding
- Will assist in the setting up of equipment for the job
- Adhere to all rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on site
- Meet or exceed company safety standards
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
- Experience in an industrial construction environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
- A positive attitude, self-motivated, eagerness to learn and a willingness to work hard every day
- An ability to lead by a positive example and a commitment to working as a team
- Attention and commitment to safety and an ability to follow instructions
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record if assigned to a company vehicle
- Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Must be able to accommodate customer needs by working flexible hours which may include weekends
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibrations and a wet and /or humid environment
- Requires walking, sitting, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, grasping, crouching, stooping reaching and repetitive motions to a significant degree
- Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
