Individual Support Workers Needed

Your Day as an Individual Support Worker As a Part‑Time Individual Support Worker at Owen Health Care, you will play a pivotal role in assisting behavioral therapists to create effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents. Your responsibilities include: Implementing individualized service plans and providing behavioral interventions in home and community settings. Actively managing youth with behavioral challenges and ensuring a safe, supportive environment. Monitoring and documenting observations of youth behavior to adjust daily activities in line with therapeutic goals. Developing and implementing engaging recreational activities that support emotional and social growth. Initiating and maintaining safety standards while instructing youth on positive behavioral practices. Qualifications To excel as an Individual Support Worker you must possess: Either a college degree with one year of experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children and their families. The ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines. Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children and adolescents. Prior experience in behavioral interventions and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
