Job Title: CNC Machinist
Department: Manufacturing
Report To: Production Operation Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow and enforce safety policies.
• Assisting employees with duties and responsibilities.
• Request programs from Engineering and edit as needed.
• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material and specifications.
• Program and set up machines by entering instructions.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• To verify settings by measuring positions, inspect first-run part, and sample work pieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by management.
• Responsible for Training and mentoring employees and documenting training records.
• Confer with management when needed to resolve problems.

Physical Demands:

Standing for long periods of time, walking, bending sitting, reaching outward, reaching above shoulders, climb stairs, squatting, kneeling, bending, good sense of sound, vision, sense of smell, sense of touch, ability to ware personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots and safety glasses.
