Position Summary: 

Act as the primary subject matter expert for enterprise systems and related applications, ensuring effective design, implementation, documentation, support, and ongoing maintenance. Serve as a liaison between business units and system providers to facilitate collaboration, address operational needs, and contribute to strategic business initiatives. Install and maintain software updates and patches, coordinate testing activities, monitor system and vendor performance, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• Minimum three (3) years of experience with system implementations, conversions, application upgrades and releases, business analysis, testing, and compliance in a retail or commercial banking environment.

• Demonstrated experience eliciting requirements, mapping current- and future-state processes, administering or configuring systems, and delivering solutions with business partners and subject matter experts.

• Working knowledge of banking core systems, ancillary applications, content management, document preparation, reporting, customer relationship management, and commercial and retail product origination preferred.

• Ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and translate them into requirements, process models, test plans, controls, support procedures, and measurable outcomes.

• Familiarity with automation and engineering concepts such as APIs, workflow automation, low-code tools, scripting, data integration, source control, testing, release management, logging, monitoring, and alerts preferred. Deep software engineering expertise is not required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with reporting, dashboard, process-mapping, or work-management tools preferred.

Essential Duties:

• Analyze, evaluate, and monitor the workflow of supported applications and systems, recommending, designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce defects, streamline processes, eliminate redundancy, and elevate overall quality. Provide insight and support for key business initiatives with a focus on data quality, customer experience, and risk management.

• Install software updates, apply patches, perform testing, and monitor the daily performance and stability of core banking systems and other enterprise banking platforms.

• Triage support tickets, diagnose technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system-related incidents in a timely manner.

• Partner with business units to gather requirements, analyze data flows, develop documentation and test plans, and facilitate data mapping activities for system implementations, integrations, conversions, and enhancement projects.

• Track and manage vendor-reported defects and enhancement requests, coordinate implementation schedules, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, service level agreements, and organizational standards.

• Design and implement automation, integration, scripting, reporting, and workflow solutions that increase operational efficiency, reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance the reliability of core and ancillary banking systems.

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the efficient flow of information. Provide relevant updates to supervisors, compile data as required, and respond to inquiries from Bank personnel and customers within established timelines and policy guidelines. Participate in ongoing coaching and development discussions to enhance communication, build action plans, and support continuous performance improvement.

• Adhere to all laws and organizational policies designed to maintain a workplace free of harassment and discrimination. Support the Bank’s risk management practices, safety and soundness standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. Perform additional supportive tasks aligned with essential job functions as needed or as roles evolve.
