Cardiac Surgery - Physician Assistant or RNFA - Syracuse, NY

St. Josephs Health is seeking to recruit an experienced Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant or RNFA to join the Cardiac surgery program at St. Josephs Hospital located in Syracuse, NY. Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistants first assist and cover floor consults. This role is full-time with weeknight and weekend call rotation. POSITION DETAILS: First assist with all open-heart cases, no vascular, some thoracic, adult only. Responsibilities include daily rounds with CTS Team, caring for post-operative patients in the ICU and on the floor, admitting transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department, and consultations. Physician Assistant must be proficient in vein harvesting, chest tube placement, central line placement, and arterial line placement. Call Coverage: 1 weekend a month with occasional additional coverage needed. REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should have the following: NYS licensure DEA certification ACLS/BLS Open to new grads with clinical rotation experienced or interested in cardiac surgery Graduation from an accredited PA program, NP Certification (required for RFNA applicants) RECRUITMENT PACKAGE: St. Peters Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes: Compensation is between $127,857- $222,472 The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer.
