Used Vehicle TechnicianUS Auto Trust is a premier luxury automotive group, proudly representing a distinguished portfolio of legendary brands, including Aston Martin/Lotus, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Cadillac.As part of our growing team, Aston Martin San Diego is seeking a Used Vehicle Technician to inspect, diagnose, service, and recondition pre-owned vehicles for retail sale. This is a developmental position that offers a pathway to becoming a fully qualified Aston Martin Technician.The Used Vehicle Technician's primary responsibility will be completing used-vehicle inspections and repairs efficiently and to dealership quality and safety standards. Once daily used-vehicle responsibilities are complete, the technician will receive opportunities to develop Aston Martin-specific skills through online learning, local factory training, hands-on experience, and assisting the dealership's existing technicians.Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri, with an occasional Saturday when the workload demands it.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Operating dealership-owned and customer-owned vehicles safely.Providing accurate and trustworthy diagnoses and repairs to maintain customer trust.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Documents all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.Road tests vehicles.Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.Using and maintaining expensive tools and equipment.Inspects and tests drive newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functionsKeeps the shop area neat and clean.Maintains and holds accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
