Job Title: Clinical Specialist (Therapist) Acenda Integrated Health provides 100+ behavioral health programs across New Jersey. Join our team and make a lasting impact by delivering evidence-based counseling and care for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Job Overview Provides individual counseling and support to consumers through symptom assessment, wellness planning, and the use of evidence based practices to promote recovery and stability. Collaborates closely with the PACT team to support medication management, monitor side effects, and deliver coordinated, long term care while participating in daily team meetings. Responds to consumer needs with strong communication, teamwork, and availability for crisis assessment and intervention as part of a shared on call rotation. Program Overview The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary services available 24/7, including a staff psychiatrist, to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Key Responsibilities Provide individual sessions to consumers through symptom assessment, management, and supportive counseling, and assist consumers with Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and crisis planning tools. Support medication delivery and collaborate with the PACT team to provide long term support; assess concerns, symptoms, and behavior, monitoring side effects during face to face contacts. Attend daily morning meetings to address consumer and program needs. Be available for crisis assessment and intervention 24 hours a day, seven days a week (telephone and face to face); on call responsibilities shared among the PACT team. Utilize evidence based tools such as psycho education, social skills training, cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention planning. Communicate competently in writing and verbally with referral sources and external customers. Provide attentive, supportive, timely service to consumers. Work collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to communicate and problem solve effectively. Requirements Master’s degree in behavioral health science or a counseling specialty from an accredited institution. Two years of post bachelor’s experience working with individuals who have serious and persistent mental illness. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Initiative, creativity, dependability, reliability, and ability to work independently. Independent thinking, sound judgment, and ability to analyze work, set goals, develop plans, and use time effectively and efficiently. Compensation and Benefits Base rate: $50,000. Sign on bonus: $750. Bilingual rate: $3,120 added if Spanish proficient. Health, vision and dental coverage for employee and family. 401(k) with 100% employer match on the first 5% of compensation.
