General Summary:
Assists in the tax foreclosure process for Monroe County. Manages all aspects of the foreclosure process, from forfeiture through foreclosure, and the subsequent auction, transfer, or long-term retention of the properties. Performs a variety of accounting functions requiring an in-depth knowledge of the banking and accounting relationships, along with all software applications used in the County Treasurer's office, and the tax collection process. Employment Qualifications: Education: High school graduation or equivalent, with some advanced coursework in accounting, information technology, government or law. Associates Degree preferred. Experience: Five years of experience in a capacity related to accounting and real estate, and at least three years' experience in the Treasurer's Office or related field. Requires advanced knowledge of designated spreadsheet programs and computer system. Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a valid Driver's License.
