Social Media Manager (College of Arts, Sciences & Education)

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field and three (3) years of experience working with social media in a communications, marketing, or public relations setting. Job Summary Oversees and executes day-to-day social media responsibilities for environment and environmental resilience activities, including creating and posting content, monitoring and responding to comments and interactions, and creating and implementing social media campaigns. Develops current and potential social media properties, spearheads new initiatives, and collaborates in related campus-wide social media efforts. Sets goals and objectives for social media profiles and establishes benchmarks for measuring impact for environment and environmental resilience content. Creates a content strategy and schedule. Produces written, visual, and multimedia content for specific platforms. Engages with audiences by responding to comments and questions. Measures and evaluates social media impact on marketing efforts. Recommends strategy changes based on analytics. Identifies opportunities for new profiles and initiatives. Trains environment faculty and staff on social media best practices. Stays current with social media trends, algorithms, and technologies. Interprets communication policies and recommends improvements.
