We are seeking an experienced Florida construction litigation attorney to handle our fast-paced pre-suit matters, which the Firm handles on a flat-fee basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction litigator who loves strategy, negotiation, problem-solving, and client counseling — but is tired of the grind, delay, and endless combat of litigation. This is not a “billable hours” position. Your success will not be measured by how many hours you record. It will be measured by outcomes, efficiency, decisiveness, client satisfaction, and your ability to help homeowners regain control over their homes, finances, and lives. Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 yearly Responsibilities: Strategically manage pre-suit residential construction disputes from intake through resolution Advise and guide homeowners through high-stress renovation and construction disputes Quickly assess facts, identify leverage points, and formulate practical strategies Negotiate directly with contractors, construction professionals, insurance representatives, and opposing counsel Draft persuasive demand letters, notices, responses, settlement agreements, and other pre-suit documents Advise clients regarding termination of contractors, project takeover issues, payment disputes, delays, defective work claims, liens, and project completion strategies Preserve evidence and advise clients regarding documentation, inspections, expert involvement, and spoliation concerns Coordinate with construction experts and consultants where appropriate Analyze contracts, change orders, lien claims, notices, and construction documentation Help clients make smart, strategic decisions under pressure Return client communications promptly and proactively Operate with urgency and decisiveness in time-sensitive situations Qualifications: Required Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar Significant experience handling Florida construction litigation matters Strong understanding of Florida construction law and residential construction disputes Experience negotiating disputes with contractors and attorneys Excellent understanding of Florida lien law Strong knowledge of Florida Statute Chapter 558 Understanding of construction defect claims, delay claims, payment disputes, and contractor termination issues Experience preserving evidence and working with construction experts in anticipation of litigation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work efficiently and decisively in a fast-paced environment Strong client counseling and relationship management skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Strongly Preferred Florida Bar Board Certification in Construction Law Experience representing homeowners in residential construction disputes Strong understanding of Florida contractor licensing laws and consumer protection statutes Experience resolving disputes without litigation Ability to evaluate cases strategically and pragmatically rather than emotionally About Company Wyman Legal Solutions is a niche residential construction law firm for homeowners.
