Schedule: Days | Full time | Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8AM - 4:30PM; Tuesday 7AM - 4:30PM; Friday 8AM - 3:30PM. Call rotation required.

How You'll Make An Impact In This Role

Job Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Program VAD Coordinator:

• Patient Care Coordination: Manages and coordinates care for cardiac patients with ventricular assist devices (VADs) across the continuumfrom post-implant education through discharge and long-term follow-up.
• Education & Training: Provides comprehensive education and support to VAD patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring they understand device management, lifestyle modifications, and emergency procedures.
• Clinical Monitoring & Management: Monitors patients for device function, complications, and overall clinical status, collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Ensures adherence to institutional protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in patient records and databases.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• Bachelors in Nursing
• Two years of bedside nursing experience required.
• Cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred.
