Who We're Looking For We would love to connect with practitioners who: Feel genuinely passionate about massage therapy, the healing arts, and holistic wellness. Have strong intuitive skills and the ability to listen and respond to the body's subtle cues. Recognize the relationship between physical tension, emotional experiences, stress, and nervous system regulation. Are interested in energy work, subtle body awareness, and integrative healing practices. Understand the importance of trauma-informed care, including safety, consent, boundaries, client choice, and emotional awareness. Appreciate that effective bodywork sometimes involves slowing down, listening, and creating space rather than applying more pressure. Are comfortable responding compassionately when emotions arise during sessions while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and scope of practice. Value personal growth, continuing education, collaboration, and authentic connection. Are self-motivated and interested in developing and maintaining their own clientele. Are open to exploring new modalities, learning from others, and deepening their therapeutic approach. Two Ways to Grow Your Practice at Satori Lux We understand that every practitioner is at a different stage of their professional journey. We offer two potential arrangements to accommodate different business goals, levels of independence, and professional needs. Option 1: Independent Room Rental Ideal for established massage therapists, holistic practitioners, and independent bodyworkers who want a welcoming, professional space while maintaining greater control over their business. Rent treatment space based on an agreed-upon schedule and rental arrangement. Maintain independence over your clientele, services, pricing, and scheduling. Choose to use your own booking system or utilize the Satori Lux booking platform for client scheduling and appointment management. Have the opportunity to be featured on the Satori Lux website and promoted through our business marketing. Benefit from cross-promotion, professional referrals, and collaborative opportunities. Connect with a community of like-minded wellness professionals. Take primary responsibility for attracting, building, and retaining your own clientele. Access optional training and professional development opportunities upon request. Rental rates, availability, booking platform access, and any associated fees will be discussed individually. Option 2: Percentage-Based Independent Contractor Model Ideal for massage therapists who prefer a revenue-sharing arrangement and a more integrated relationship with the Satori Lux wellness center. Receive an agreed-upon percentage of completed massage services. Establish availability and scheduling arrangements that support your professional goals. Utilize the Satori Lux booking system for appointment management. Be featured on our website and included in relevant business promotions and marketing efforts. Benefit from opportunities for internal referrals, cross-promotion, and collaboration with other wellness practitioners. Provide services within the Satori Lux treatment environment. Take an active role in developing, nurturing, and maintaining your own clientele. Access optional training and professional development opportunities upon request. Specific compensation arrangements, scheduling expectations, and operational details will be discussed individually. An Important Note About Building Your Practice Satori Lux supports practitioner visibility through website listings, business marketing, referrals, and collaborative opportunities. However, each practitioner is primarily responsible for growing and maintaining their own client base. We are seeking motivated individuals who are excited to build a sustainable practice, develop meaningful client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our wellness community. Neither arrangement guarantees a specific number of clients or appointments. Professional Growth, Training & Collaboration At Satori Lux, we believe that being a practitioner is a lifelong journey of learning, exploration, and growth. We welcome therapists who are curious, open-minded, and interested in expanding their skills beyond traditional massage techniques. Additional training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities may be available upon request , depending on practitioner interests, experience, and availability. Training is optional and available upon request. Specific opportunities, scheduling, and any associated costs will be discussed individually. Training does not replace required licensure, certification, or professional education. Responsibilities Provide thoughtful, individualized massage therapy and bodywork within your training and professional scope. Conduct appropriate client intakes, assessments, and treatment planning. Adapt sessions based on client goals, preferences, physical needs, and comfort. Maintain a trauma-informed, consent-based approach to therapeutic touch. Communicate clearly with clients about treatment options, boundaries, and aftercare. Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation. Follow appropriate sanitation, safety, and professional standards. Maintain a peaceful, welcoming, and respectful treatment environment. Build and sustain professional client relationships through quality care, networking, and outreach. Contribute positively to the collaborative and supportive culture of Satori Lux. Maintain appropriate professional independence and business responsibilities under the chosen working arrangement. Qualifications Required Active Connecticut Massage Therapist License. Professional liability insurance appropriate to the working arrangement. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and safe massage practices. Strong communication skills and professional boundaries. Commitment to ethical, client-centered, consent-based care. Ability to work independently and manage professional responsibilities. Genuine interest in holistic and integrative wellness. Motivation to develop and maintain a client base. Preferred, But Not Required Experience with trauma-informed massage or somatic approaches. Training in CranioSacral Therapy, energy work, or complementary modalities. Understanding of nervous system regulation and the relationship between stress, emotions, and physical well-being. An established clientele or previous experience building an independent practice. Interest in continuing education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development.
