Heavy Equipment Mechanic
This is a long term position based in Las Vegas, NV. Established Solar Tracking installation company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanics to repair heavy duty construction equipment.
This role requires a candidate with experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, specifically in troubleshooting hydraulic machinery used for post and foundation preparations. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof upon hiring.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic machinery used for post pounding and drilling.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and circuit diagnosis.
- Conduct hydraulic, pneumatic, and valve repairs.
- Repair heavy equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems.
Job Qualifications:
- 5 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Previous experience troubleshooting skills in the areas of hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems
- Experience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, etc.)
- Heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins)
- Welding and fabrication
- Excellent judgement and able to make responsible decisions
- Ability to work independently without constant direction
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences both internally and externally
- This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license and provide proof that s/he has a valid driver's license upon being hired.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Vegas, NV.
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
