Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, pumps, compressors, dock equipment, and material handling systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Support facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Work closely with operations teams to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Experience working with conveyors and material handling equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, cold storage, or food distribution environments.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing and industrial production environment.
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
