JOB SUMMARY This role involves providing technical support within the Electrophysiology (EP) unit, assisting with a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians in performing EP studies, ablations, and pacemaker/ICD implantations. Operate and troubleshoot specialized EP equipment and monitoring systems. Prepare diagnostic and therapeutic catheters and other devices for procedures. Document procedure details accurately in the EMR system. Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic responses during procedures. Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols. Respond to emergency situations as needed. Schedule / Shift 4 x 10‑hour shifts with late stay. Shift typically starts at 6:30 AM. Required Qualifications Experience in Critical Care. Experience in Electrophysiology procedures including ablations, pacemaker implantation, and removal. Experience with A‑fib & A‑flutter, SVT, VT ablations (RF & Cryo). Experience with Pacemakers & ICD implants (single, dual, biV, micra & subcutaneous). Experience with Lead extractions. Experience with high‑volume procedures. Experience involved in studies and field studies with outside physicians. Experience Minimum years of experience as an EP Tech required. Skills Critical care gtt management. Ability to operate and troubleshoot EP equipment (Boston Scientific, BioSense Webster Carto, Medtronic, Baylis/VersaCross). Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. EMR / Systems EPIC Cupid MacLab Unit / Specialty Electrophysiology – Interventional Labs Interventional Radiology Certifications BLS certification required. ACLS certification required. ARRT/RTR or RCIS credential required for Technologists. Patient Population Adult patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
