Senior Crane Sales Representative

Olive Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Crane Sales Representative for our client in Manassas, VA. This role is responsible for managing and growing an established book of crane service customers while developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of crane operations with a relationship-driven business development approach and experience selling taxi crane or mobile crane services. Location: Manassas, VA - candidates should ideally live within approximately 45 minutes of Manassas. Full-time, direct hire with client. Schedule: Primarily in-office and field based. This position is expected to spend approximately 50% or more of its time in the field visiting customers and job sites, with the balance in the office. Compensation: $110,000-$120,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus commission. Commission has historically been around 1% and can add approximately $40,000-$60,000 annually depending on sales performance. The position also participates in the company bonus pool at a reduced weighting due to commission eligibility and is eligible for 401(k) profit sharing, two weeks of PTO, and the client's standard office benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow an established book of existing and previous crane service customers.
• Build long-term customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and consultative sales.
• Visit customer locations and job sites to understand project requirements and identify crane service opportunities.
• Develop new customers and expand existing accounts while maintaining a strong focus on repeat business.
• Work with customers and internal operations teams to understand technical crane requirements and develop appropriate service solutions.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the local crane, rigging, construction, and industrial markets.
• Represent the company professionally with contractors, project managers, estimators, and other customer decision-makers.
• Develop business through relationship-based selling rather than high-volume transactional or cold-call sales.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of successful sales experience in crane services, taxi crane, mobile crane, rigging, or a closely related sector preferred.
• Strong understanding of crane operations and the ability to have technical conversations with customers.
• Prior hands-on crane, rigging, operator, or related industry experience is highly desirable.
• Established relationships within the crane, construction, industrial, or heavy-lift market are preferred but a transferable book of business is not required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships and grow repeat business.
• Strong business development, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable spending significant time in the field visiting customers and job sites.
• Must be able to work from the Manassas area and travel locally as required.
