Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Instrumentation Automation SCADA Specialist to support our water and wastewater facilities across the Southeast Region of North America. In this role you will work with the Operational Technology Manager and the Regional Services Group to support OT services that enable the daily treatment of more than 1.7 billion gallons of water. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Traveling to projects throughout the region Configuring, commissioning, and maintaining Control Panels, PLCs, and SCADA Systems Supporting the installation of Control Panels, PLCs, and SCADA servers and workstations Troubleshooting process control issues and SCADA communications issues Remotely monitoring assets across facilities and identifying maintenance needs or service degradation Remotely assisting with troubleshooting process control issues and applying minor updates and fixes to existing SCADA & PLC systems Working with facility managers to identify technology needs, documenting existing infrastructure, and developing plans to improve facility control systems Collaborating with other disciplines on equipment installation, startup, and commissioning Configuring equipment to conform to process control and resiliency standards Managing SCADA user accounts and access controls Overtime or outside regular schedule may be required Tools & Equipment General office equipment (telephone, copier, PC/laptop) Industrial control equipment (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, embedded devices, radios) Servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that support commercial and industrial network environments Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment Qualifications 5+ years experience in Control System Design, PLC Programming, and SCADA Development Solid technical foundation focusing on electrical and/or control system design Estimated 50% travel throughout the Southeast Region Valid driver’s license with no major infractions Valid REAL ID driver’s license required by TSA for travel Ideally, You’ll Also Have Visionary mindset, planning far ahead and focusing on what is important Certifications/Training relevant to SCADA & PLC OEM certifications Background in networking or information systems management Additional skills such as automotive repair, mechanical skills, process or manufacturing knowledge Working Conditions Safety is a core value at Jacobs. Salary The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $141,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
