Job Overview
Gold Medal Delivery Service is looking for a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Augusta, GA.
As a P&D Driver, you will safely operate a company delivery vehicle, complete assigned routes, load and unload products, and provide professional customer service at every stop.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and interacting with customers.
This position is based in Augusta, GA and is an excellent opportunity for candidates in the greater Augusta area.
What You'll Do
• Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle along assigned routes
• Complete daily deliveries accurately and on schedule
• Load and unload products, including items that may require heavy lifting
• Verify orders and delivery information before completing deliveries
• Provide professional and friendly customer service
• Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, questions, or concerns
• Maintain accurate delivery records and delivery confirmations
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable traffic laws
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Report vehicle issues or maintenance concerns promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
• Assist with additional delivery or warehouse duties as needed
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services when appropriate
What We're Looking For
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license required
• Clean driving record required
• Safe and responsible driving habits
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Comfortable navigating routes and using GPS or other navigation tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily delivery schedule
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy merchandise
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Previous delivery, customer service, sales, logistics, or driving experience preferred
• Military experience in transportation, logistics, or related fields is a plus
Physical Requirements
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, load, and unload merchandise
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday
• Ability to get in and out of a delivery vehicle frequently
• Ability to safely handle products and delivery equipment
