We are a boutique private optometry practice, conveniently located just 5 minutes off of Hwy 85 on Blossom Hill Rd. We have an opening for an optician/optometric assistant position with 4 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9-6, Saturday 9-5). We are looking for a bright, outgoing, professional, fast learner, positive, and motivated person to come join our team.

Job Description: 

• Picking up phones, Responding to emails, Booking appointments, Checking patients in/out and Pre-testing patients.
• Assist patients with eyewear selection and purchase based on their individual prescriptions.
• Electronic submission for vision insurance claims.
• Frame adjustments for patients of both metal and zyl materials: manually or using our hot air warmer.  
• Perform Contact lens insertion and removal training for new wearers (or willing to learn how to do so if no experience)
• Ability to use or willing to be trained on all equipment and instrumentation used for the daily operation of the business.
• Have a working knowledge of VSP and Eyemed or similar insurance authorizations to properly review benefits with patients
• Other admin tasks as needed.

Ability to speak English/ Spanish is a BIG plus!

Experience is preferred but not required.  We are willing to train the new candidate.

Compensation: Commensurate to experience, paid major holidays and paid sick days, and retirement plan.
