Network Technician

We are seeking a Network Technician to support the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of FTC TO4 network systems. As a Tier 2 Network Technician, this role responds to incidents, triages issues identified by automation, plans for future team enhancements, and documents work in ServiceNow, the system of record. The selected candidate will ensure the team can operate independently of vendors and related teams when escalating issues to engineering, coordinate maintenance windows with customers, and manage configuration and shipping of gear into production. Key Responsibilities Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain FTC TO4 network systems Respond to incidents and triage issues identified by automation Plan for future enhancements to team infrastructure and processes Document work in ServiceNow, the system of record Gather information needed to operate independently of vendors, and coordinate with related teams when escalating issues to engineering Coordinate maintenance windows with customers Configure and ship gear for production deployment Perform process documentation and train team members on design changes and new technologies Maintain flexibility to support the team's wide-ranging work schedules, including some weekend or off-hours support Support and manage current vendor technologies, including Cisco, Aruba WiFi, Arista Velo SD-WAN, Aruba Switching, APC Netbotz, F5 Load Balancing, Palo Alto firewalls, and Zscaler Required Qualifications High School diploma with 4+ years of experience related to systems, desktop, or network support at a minimum (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree, or vice versa) Strong Cisco switching configuration skills Strong F5 Load Balancing skills Strong Aruba switching skills Experience using ITSM ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy A passion for customer service A high level of initiative, ownership, and accountability Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Logical troubleshooting ability and analytical skills Demonstrated track record of success in networking via academic work, internship, or previous work experience Must be a U.S. Citizen (required due to federal contract; role involves Controlled Unclassified Information/CUI) Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications Zscaler management and troubleshooting experience Technical Skills Networking & Vendors: Cisco switching, Aruba WiFi, Aruba switching, Arista Velo SD-WAN, F5 Load Balancing, Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler, APC Netbotz Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+ (required); CCNP or equivalent (preferred) Tools & Platforms: ServiceNow, Remedy (ITSM ticketing systems) Scripting & Systems (Preferred): Python, Rust, VMware, Linux Education & Certifications Required: High School diploma with 4+ years of relevant systems/desktop/network support experience (equivalent experience in lieu of degree, or degree in lieu of experience, may be considered) Preferred: Experience Required Experience: 4+ years of experience related to systems, desktop, or network support at a minimum Additional Requirements U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract involvement; role involves Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Start prior to clearance completion is not permissible Candidate must be onsite at the DC office at least once per week #J-18808-Ljbffr Aptonet
