This role is based in Wilmington, MA (with hybrid flexibility) and reports to the Engineering Director.In this role, you will oversee the development and delivery of commercially deployed, cutting-edge medical devices and cloud-based enterprise software solutions focused on cardiopulmonary care. You will ensure these solutions meet the highest standards for quality, performance, security, reliability, and regulatory compliance.The ideal candidate is a technically strong and hands-on leader, an experienced software engineer and product builder who has successfully transitioned into a management role while maintaining a passion for technology. You are comfortable engaging at all levels, including diving into code when needed, and thrive in environments that demand both technical depth and leadership excellence.This position requires recent experience leading engineering teams within an enterprise software organization that operates under formal Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Design Controls. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure performance. Implement best practices for cloud-based (AWS) resource utilization,Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions that meet their needs.What You Bring (Required Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.Hands‑on software development background in an enterprise software vendor setting8+ years of experience in an enterprise software product development environment supporting multiple Agile teams and release trains.Proven track record of successfully transitioning teams to Agile ways of working.Demonstrated experience working in a regulated environment with Quality Management System and Design ControlsExperience leading and coaching geographically distributed teams.Exceptional facilitation skills, with the ability to lead high‑stakes planning sessions and navigate competing priorities.Strong ability to translate Agile concepts into practical, compliant execution models.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence Engineering, Product, Quality, and Regulatory functions.Advanced analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.Proven experience representing SDLC and compliance practices across cross‑functional stakeholders.Technical SME with Cloud-based technologies (AWS preferred), hands-on knowledge of enterprise software platforms, frameworks, databases. Experience with microservices/containerized architecture utilizing Kubernetes clusters.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.Demonstrated knowledge/track record of working with Claude Code, Agent-to-Agent architecturesDemonstrated experience working in a MedTech environment with FDA 510(k) Class II exposure building Software as a Medical Device solutions.Experience operating in compliance‑driven or safety‑critical product environments.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
