Job Description Full Time, Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members. Position Details District Clinic - Pediatrics Full Time – Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 This position requires travel to other clinics. Benefits Eligible. Job Essentials Assess Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate). Seeks and evaluates information acquired from other members of the interdisciplinary team: patient, family, physician, non‑nursing disciplines, support staff, others. Plan Uses assessment information and critical thinking skills to collaboratively develop an individualized plan of care. Actively seeks patient, family, team, and physician involvement to develop the plan of care including needed education. Collaboratively plans and prepares patients for further support needs once the current episode of care outcomes are met (e.g., teaching, referrals, and follow‑up). Implement Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration as appropriate. Provides or delegates care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines of care, and professional licensure provisions. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and to coordinate and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources. Evaluate Evaluates patient response to interventions through review of achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction. Revises the plan of care as indicated, and reassesses changes as appropriate. Professionalism Promotes the nursing profession and participates in the development of others. Integrates legal and ethical standards into practice: complies with regulatory standards, practices within the scope of licensure, provides accurate and timely documentation, and understands legal implications of care delivery. Minimum Qualifications Current RN License in state of practice. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Unit specific certification as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see, read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication and rapid, accurate understanding of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues, especially during emergencies. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy; frequent use of computer and typing for documentation, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients and to bend, lift, and carry supplies and equipment; items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients, obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment, pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, often navigating crowded and busy rooms with equipment and power cords. May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. Location District Clinic - Pediatrics, Henderson, Nevada. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 hours. Hourly Range $40.39 - $60.96 (actual hourly rate dependent upon experience).
