**Required Years of Experience:** - 2 years of NICU experience **Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - STABLE (preferred but not explicitly required) **Skills Required:** - Administration of blood & blood products - Anti-Seizure Medications - Antibiotics/Antivirals - APGAR scoring - Arterial line management - Assist with lumbar puncture - Attend High Risk Deliveries - Blood glucose monitoring - Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk - Bubble CPAP - Central line blood draw - Central Line/Implanted Line Care - Developmental Care - Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management - Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Hyperbilirubinemia - Invasive Hemodynamic monitoring - Isolation Precautions/PPE - Level 1 Nursery - Management of Chest Tubes - Meconium Aspiration - Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome - Neonatal Dosage Calculations - Neonatal Sepsis - NICU II, NICU III - Oxygen Delivery Systems - Patient/family teaching - Phlebotomy - Phototherapy - Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes - Respiratory distress syndrome - Sepsis Work Up - Starting and maintaining IVs - Steroids - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Surfactants - Telemetry - on the unit monitoring - Thermoregulation - UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter) - UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter) - Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) - Arterial and venous puncture blood gas collection **Travel Experience:** - Required **Charting System:** - EPIC experience required **Weekend Requirement:** - 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday and/or Saturday night) AND 2 Sunday nights per 6-week schedule **On-call Requirement:** - Yes, Two (2) 12hr call shifts per 6-week schedule **Floating Requirement:** - Yes, to Well baby nursery; attend deliveries on L&D. Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities as needed. **Patient Age Group Experience:** - Neonates and Infants **Local Candidates:** - Not accepted within a 75-mile radius **Compliance Requirements:** - Completion of modules and compliance documentation in specified timeframe prior to start date **Special Requirements:** - Fluent in EPIC charting and modules completion prior to start. **Additional Notes:** - First-timers not accepted - Pending license not accepted
