This is routine work performing maintenance tasks for the Water Treatment Plants located at the Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing a variety of operations and maintenance repair tasks for water equipment. Performs general housekeeping functions of the water facilities; maintains chemical inventory and inventory of all equipment and tools needed to perform the maintenance of the STOF Water Plants. Instructions are usually received orally and tasks are performed without close field supervision. All work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Public Works environment with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the daily operation of water production is required. Must have an active Water Treatment Plant Operator license Class C or higher level. Knowledgeable in the area of safety practices and procedures related to water plant operations. Knowledge of math principles, formulas and methods sufficient to perform operator duties is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Must be qualified and able to use Self Contained Breathing Apparatus. Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Benefits:
