Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult oncology and trauma PCU patients on an 18-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–1:5
• Titrate and manage drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, Protonix, and chemotherapy agents
• Operate and monitor high-flow respiratory equipment as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps for documentation and medication administration
• Participate in self-scheduling while supporting unit needs, including floating to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care
• Conduct hourly rounding and participate in bedside shift report as part of the patient experience focus

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; a valid driver's license will be required at submittal to verify distance
• Candidates may not currently hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance with this policy is required for placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred; strong PCU experience without oncology background may be considered
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Alaris IV pump systems
