Product Engineer Body

Akkodis is seeking a Product Engineer Body for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will develop and validate NFC and Key Fob hardware, software, and systems while supporting design reviews, regulatory compliance, and launch execution.

Rate Range: $40/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Product Engineer Body Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and validate NFC and Key Fob hardware, software, and system designs in alignment with program requirements and milestones.
• Lead and participate in design reviews with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.
• Create and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) across bench, HIL, and vehicle testing environments.
• Ensure compliance with FMVSS, ECE, RF certification, and homologation requirements through proper documentation and testing.
• Track issues, requirements, and part releases using FEDE, JIRA, and WERS throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support program launches by driving issue resolution, supplier coordination, and presenting status updates to management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in automotive electrical system design, development, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with automotive hardware/software systems, including design verification, testing, and use of vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer.
• Experience supporting product development through launch, including APQP/PPAP activities, supplier collaboration, and issue tracking using tools like FEDE, JIRA, and WERS.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
