Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Radiology unit requiring at least 6 months of current IR Tech experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

• Vascular Radiology unit with 3 procedure rooms - 2 Philips biplanes and 1 GE single, using MAC Lab documentation
• Staffed by 2 nurses and 4 RTs
• Day shift covers outpatient and inpatient procedures with call requirement through the night
• Night shift requires call coverage
• Average of 10-12 procedures per day
• Procedures include embolization, Y-90, peripheral interventions, trauma cases, drain placements, biopsies, spine work, stroke thrombectomy, neuro coiling, and diagnostic cerebral cases
• 4x10 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 1 weekend per month and 1 night per week

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of current IR Tech experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
• Active KS licensure required if applicable
• Prior stroke experience preferred
• Experience traveling to large trauma facilities preferred
• Must be flexible with change and able to handle stressful cases with a positive outlook
• Strong patient care experience prioritized

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including embolization, Y-90, peripheral interventions, biopsies, drain placements, and neuro-vascular cases
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Does not accept local candidates - 50 mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
