Shop Mechanic **Climate Controlled Environment**

Shop Mechanic - Full Time
Monday - Friday, some Saturdays

Satterfield Construction Company is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our team full-time. You'll work in our brand-new, state-of-the-art, climate-controlled shop , keeping our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment running at peak performance. What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair company vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance both in the shop and occasionally on job sites.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, determine repair needs, and replace damaged/non-functioning parts.
• Communicate effectively with the Shop Foreman on repair status and daily objectives.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Support the team by completing additional duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of diesel engine repair and equipment maintenance.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting ability; wiring diagram knowledge a plus.
• License: Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Mindset: Safety-focused, reliable, team player with strong communication skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, Saturdays, and nights as projects require.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Able to work in both shop and outdoor environments, including inclement weather and uneven surfaces.
