Pediatric Physical Therapist $25,000 Bonus

Overview This Pediatric Physical Therapist position involves screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices. The Physical Therapist consults, educates, and trains patients and their caregivers within a pediatric population. New grads are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Perform and document initial and ongoing assessments of a patient’s condition. Develop plans describing treatment strategies, purposes, and anticipated outcomes, including exercise regimens for clinic and home use to improve flexibility, strength, or endurance. Utilize modalities as appropriate to relieve pain and reduce swelling. Provide information regarding selection and use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Aim to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability. Determine patients’ ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness. Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required. Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications. Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Highly organized and analytical with strong work ethic and professionalism. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work well in a team.
