Job Overview

M&G Financial is growing fast, and we're looking for a Staff Accountant who wants real ownership: not just another set of hands on the books. If you love bringing order to the numbers, closing the books with confidence, and being the person clients call when they have a question, you might be exactly who we are looking for.
A quick note on fit: this is a financial accounting role, not a tax role. You won't be preparing tax returns or handling tax compliance. Our focus is GAAP-basis, accrual accounting: month-end close, financial statements, and the ongoing financial health of the clients we serve. If you are energized by clean financials, accrual accounting, and client relationships, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Own

• Lead the full month-end close for a portfolio of clients, start to finish, keeping every close accurate and on schedule.
• Prepare and maintain GAAP-basis financial statements, applying accrual accounting principles across all client engagements.
• Be the face of our accounting team for your clients – a trusted, client-facing point of contact who delivers clear updates and thoughtful financial insight, not just spreadsheets.
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Analyze cash flow to assess liquidity and support forecasting.
• Manage day-to-day accounting across multiple client accounts using a range of accounting platforms.
• Contribute to budgeting processes with practical insights on resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready records through solid bookkeeping practices.
• Partner with internal teams to support financial audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• A background in GAAP or accrual-basis financial accounting is ideal.
• Comfort owning a full close process from start to finish.
• Confidence engaging directly with clients. You can translate financial detail into plain, useful guidance.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

Experience
1-3 years in accounting Degree
Accounting or related field
(Preferred, not required) CPA
(Preferred, not required)

The Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $60,000 – $80,000 per year
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Supplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities, performance bonus, yearly bonus
• Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, paid time off
• Location: Frisco, TX 75034 (in-person role; candidates must be able to commute or relocate before starting.)
