About the Role The Finance Manager supports the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department and plays an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. This position is responsible for supporting the month‑end close process, managing general accounting functions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with Hyatt policies. Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger adjustments. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules. Prepare and review month-end accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Hyatt policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Process Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding, timely approvals, and compliance with Hyatt policies and procedures. Process Accounts Receivable invoices and billing transactions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable aging reports, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed. Support the Income Audit process by reviewing daily revenue reporting and investigating variances. Analyze financial results, investigate account variances, and prepare supporting schedules. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with Hyatt policies, internal controls, and GAAP. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation. Partner with operational departments to improve financial processes and ensure compliance with company policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance. The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $84,000 annually. This is an hourly manager level role and will be paid an hourly rate based on a 45 hour work week. This is the range for this position that Andaz San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, accounts payable, income audit, and financial reporting. Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Excel preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
