Responsibilities Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, is a licensed 122‑bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County’s only designated Trauma Center and a county‑designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. It features a Bariatric Weight‑Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center. Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120‑bed acute‑care hospital with the region’s only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board‑certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. It also provides the area’s only OB/Emergency Department program, giving expectant mothers 24/7 on‑site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center is the largest in the region and features spacious family‑friendly private suites. Rancho’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s. Employee may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided. Qualifications Reporting to the Plant Ops Manager, the SR Tech – HVAC Maintenance Worker will be responsible for completing high‑priority work orders as well as performing service and repairs on HVAC/R, boiler, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and other hospital critical systems. Essential Job Duties: Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and all work areas are kept clean and stocked. Perform and document preventive maintenance on all major equipment; maintain 100% adherence to department inspection schedules and procedures. Follow all code and regulatory agency requirements. Inform supervisor of shutdowns or interruptions of service prior to shutdown; report safety concerns and equipment malfunctions immediately. Assume and/or perform additional duties as requested. Experience and Education: At least seven (7) years of experience, including at least one of the following commercial systems: HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and other hospital utility systems. Health‑care setting experience preferred. Trade or vocational experience. High school diploma preferred. Current California driver’s license. Licensed or certified in HVAC/R, California MECH certification by CSHE (California Society for Healthcare Engineering), an associate’s degree in a related field, military experience in a related field, or 10 years of plant operations experience. CPI certification within the first 90 days. Hands‑on experience in hospital or related commercial facilities equipment with numerical ability for installation and repair calculations. Competent in the use of various test equipment and tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints/building plans. Ability to work independently without supervision. Able to use and learn various computer programs and building systems.
