Catholic Religious Education Coordinator Part-Time

Location: Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi



Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per month, including at least three onsite hours each Sunday. Additional availability is required during holidays, Vacation Bible School, and special parish events.

GD Resources is seeking a Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to manage and support Catholic religious education programs at Columbus Air Force Base.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate First Communion, Reconciliation, Confirmation, RCIA, children's liturgies, and seasonal programs.

  • Develop annual curriculum, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Recruit and train teachers, aides, and volunteers.

  • Manage registrations, attendance records, volunteer hours, and weekly reports.

  • Coordinate classrooms, facilities, publicity, and Vacation Bible School.

  • Attend required Chapel and parish meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Active in and knowledgeable about the Catholic faith, doctrine, and liturgical practices.

  • At least one year of experience coordinating Catholic religious education programs or events.

  • Experience with sacramental preparation, RCIA, children's programs, and seasonal Catholic activities.

  • Strong organization, communication, recordkeeping, and basic budgeting skills.

  • Able to pass the required background investigation for working with children.

  • Eligible to obtain access to Columbus Air Force Base.

  • Able to complete the Archdiocese for the Military Services Catechist Certification Program within six months.
