Job Position: Fire Alarm Technician

Location: San Antonio, TX 78249

Pay Rate: $19.00 $22.00 per Hour

Looking for your next opportunity in the fire alarm industry? TradeSTAR is hiring a Fire Alarm Level I Technician for a commercial low-voltage project in the San Antonio 78240 area. About the Opportunity
You'll work on commercial construction projects installing and supporting fire alarm systems alongside experienced technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience while building your career in the life safety industry.

What You'll Do
Pull fire alarm cable through conduit, J-hooks, and cable supports.
Install and terminate fire alarm devices, including smoke detectors, horn/strobes, pull stations, and modules.
Assist with system testing and basic troubleshooting.
Read basic blueprints and device layouts.
Follow NFPA standards and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Qualifications
6 months to 2 years of commercial fire alarm installation experience.
Experience pulling cable and installing fire alarm devices.
Familiarity with hand tools and a volt/ohm meter.
Ability to work on active commercial construction sites.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Eagerness to learn and advance in the low-voltage industry.
