NERA Associate - Human Capital Operations (White Plains, NY/NYC)

We are looking for an Associate to join our Human Capital Operations team in our White Plains, NY (preferred) or New York City office. Responsibilities Coordinate employee on‑boarding and off‑boarding processes Manage end‑to‑end background investigation process for new hires Assist in new employee orientations Maintain I‑9 and E‑Verify system data Process weekly payroll for non‑exempt employees and respond to payroll‑related inquiries Maintain and audit employee data within HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and compliance Serve as a resource for employee benefits inquiries Own projects, contribute to process improvements, and develop expertise as opportunities arise Participate in ad‑hoc projects as needed Qualifications BA/BS in a related field or equivalent work experience in human resources, operations, or administrative roles in fast‑paced environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality Experience managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; Workday experience a plus Willing to travel as necessary between New York City and White Plains for collaboration Compensation & Benefits This hybrid role offers a competitive annual salary of $80,000 – $85,000 per year and is bonus eligible. Base pay is determined on a case‑by‑case basis based on experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
