The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team. This 189-bed facility is looking for a hardworking and energized Registered Dietitian (RD) to help manage the nutrition needs of their short term, long term, Palliative Care and feeding tube residents while proudly serving their diverse community health‑care needs. Responsibilities Assess the nutritional needs of residents by completing the necessary clinical nutritional assessments Provide nutrition counseling and education for residents and family Work with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care is provided to all residents Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process Possess the ability to creatively problem solve and work independently with minimal supervision Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities Rotating holidays and weekend work required Candidates Who Have Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups (physicians, nursing, ancillary staff, residents and family members) Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong time management skills, be a self-starter and a team player Requirements Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Eligible (with DI Verification Statement) Comfortable with enteral nutrition Strong oral and written communication skills Familiarity with state survey process and compliance to nutrition care regulations a plus Salary Up to $90,000 annually An Equal Opportunity Employer.
