RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Perform nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing assignments following physician orders, standards of care, and hospital policies
• Provide nursing duties and support to individuals of all ages and their families
• Must maintain current valid certification throughout employment:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within one year of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within one year of hire
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one year of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within 6 months of hire
- Emergency Severity Index Level 5 within 3 months of hire
- Patient Sitter Competency Training upon hire
• RN license from any state is acceptable (Arizona state license not required)
• Orientation provided every 2 weeks
• Limited housing options available - shared housing units at $600 per month based on availability with no family or pets allowed

This JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed facility was constructed in 1975 and offers comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory surgical procedures. The facility maintains a diverse medical staff including surgeons, specialists, and comprehensive nursing staff including registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and community health nurses.
