Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic

Mechanic Position in Jacksonville, FloridaWe're currently seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic, preferably with diesel experience, to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, heavy trucks, and related equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and is looking for a long-term role with a stable and growing company.Diesel Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company's Diesel Fleet trucks.The starting hourly rate for this position is $26.54/HR.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Mechanics inspect equipment for damage or failures.Perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures.Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks.Mechanics may also be required to perform basic welds, clean the shop area, and perform stocking functions.Will be cross trained to work on cranes and heavy equipmentAll work performed must be done in a safe and efficient mannerQualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
