This role is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, pre-screening, and onboarding new employees, administering payroll, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. This role provides a consistent schedule, opportunities for professional development and career advancement, and the stability of working for an established and growing Automotive & Powersports Group.What You'll DoCollaborate with HR staff, the Business Office, managers, and employees across all departments while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and strong internal customer service; support daily store operations and a detail-oriented team culture.Manage end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accurate, timely payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Maintain HRIS data integrity through regular audits, updates, and validation of employee, compensation, and job data.Ensure accuracy of employee deductions, benefits enrollments, tax withholdings, and garnishments.Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries, resolving discrepancies with the Business Office as needed.Administer employees onboarding and offboarding in the HRIS, including data entry, status changes, and final pay processing.Support benefits administration and payroll/benefits system integration.Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices through routine audits of HR, payroll, and personnel records.Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding in partnership with department managers.Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures; coach managers on policy interpretation and performance management.Review and approve employee timecards to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with company policy and labor regulations.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.What We're Looking ForExperience in Human Resources, preferably payroll-focused, with Paycom or similar HRIS experience.Knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems.Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support employees and collaborate with managers.Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines, including payroll cycles.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required.Payroll processing experience (Paycom preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.Ability to perform office-based work, including prolonged sitting, keyboarding, and computer use.Occasional physical activity including bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs, with periods of standing and walking.Why Anderson Auto Group?Stable year-round employmentMedical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance401(k) with company participationPaid Time View email address on click.appcast.io Program – In partnership with Strayer University, offers 100% tuition-free higher education for employees and their immediate family members.Employee pricing on new and used vehicles, plus discounts on parts and service labor.Growth and advancement opportunitiesWork with an established and respected organizationOpportunity to develop valuable trade and maintenance skillsIf you're dependable, motivated, and looking for a long-term career with a company that values its employees, we'd like to talk with you.Apply today and become part of the Anderson Auto Group team.Anderson Auto Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
