Entry Level Drafter

Job Description Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Structural Drafter to join our engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, multi-family, retail, and light commercial projects while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing organization.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering quality drafting solutions. Prepare structural construction documents from architectural plans Maintain drafting standards while ensuring accuracy and consistency across all plan sets Assist with permit-ready drawing packages and support engineering project schedules. 5 years of experience drafting structural plans for production homebuilders. ~ Experience with post-tension foundation design, IRC residential construction, and permit ready structural plan production is required. Along with extensive experience preparing residential foundation plans, framing plan, and shear wall/wind bracing plans Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable drafting software Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software including Microsoft Office, Gmail and Google Docs Ability to work at a computer for extended periods Ability to travel to meetings \nCompany Description Founded in 1986, Burgess was established to address the increasing demand among leading homebuilders, developers, and industry stakeholders nationwide for third-party quality assurance, energy testing, and engineering services.
