Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in Med Surg, Oncology experience, Comfortable taking Step Down Patients License: Active Michigan Nursing License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Skills Checklist current to 1 year in Med Surg, 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years Description: The position involves caring for patients with a cancer diagnosis, medical step-down patients, and general medical overflow. The role requires basic knowledge of cancer pathophysiology. Candidates will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients. Responsibilities include regularly assessing patient needs and providing skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician. Direct patient care will encompass nursing assessment, medication administration, and assistance with transfers. Evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and patients' conditions is essential. Collaboration with team members to update or revise treatment plans is a critical component of this role. Processing physician orders and performing ordered care accurately and timely is required. There will be a need to follow up on medication changes and clarifications.
